DANIEL E. FREIMAN
Vice President and Treasurer
NII Holdings, Inc.
Daniel E. Freiman is vice-president and treasurer of NII Holdings where he is responsible for leading the company’s treasury function, including activities related to financing arrangements, investment management, hedging, cash management and insurance risk management.
Prior to being appointed vice-president and treasurer in 2008, Mr. Freiman served for three years as vice president and controller of NII Holdings where he was responsible for the company’s accounting and reporting functions, including the management of regular financial reporting requirements with the Securities Exchange Commission, technical accounting, consolidation accounting, corporate accounting, and internal reporting.
Mr. Freiman has 16 years of financial experience including 10 years in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining NII Holdings in 2000, he was a manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s audit practice in Washington, D.C. There he was responsible for planning, overseeing and completing external financial audits for both public and private companies—predominantly financial services organizations.
Mr. Freiman is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park (UMCP). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and has an MBA with a concentration in finance from UMCP. He is also a certified public accountant.
