Executive Bios
Daniel E. Freiman is the vice president and treasurer of NII Holdings, Inc., a provider of differentiated mobile communication services for businesses and high value consumers in Latin America. With operations in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Chile, NII is a Fortune 500 company and trades on the NASDAQ market under the symbol NIHD.
Mr. Freiman is responsible for leading the company’s treasury and investor relations functions, including activities related to raising capital, investment management, hedging, cash management, working capital and insurance risk management.
As controller, he leads the company's accounting and reporting functions, including the management of regular financial reporting requirements with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Freiman is responsible for NII's technical accounting, consolidation accounting and internal reporting.
Mr. Freiman has almost 18 years of financial experience, including nearly 12 years in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining the NII team in 2000, he was a manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s audit practice in Washington, D.C. While there, he was responsible for planning, overseeing and completing external financial audits for both public and private companies - predominantly financial services organizations.
Mr. Freiman is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, where he earned a bachelor of science in accounting and a master’s of business administration with a concentration in finance.
